And then there is the annoying abuse of crossover episodes with other DC series. ALWAYS assume they aren't and take appropriate measures to secure them before starting to celebrate or naval gaze. Also, the simple notion that the bad guy is never really "down & out" after you think you've taken care of them. Some examples … resetting the timeline ALWAYS has unintended, worse consequences. And then there is the annoying habit of the protaginists too rarely learn from their repeated mistakes.
#The flash season 5 episode 18 release date series
This series abused them all WAY TOO much. Then there is the absurd over-use of the story reset/rescue tropes of time travel, traversing and mixing alternate universes and dimensions. The shift was disorienting, distracting and incongruous. At the same time this series would leap to having threats to not only the world, but the Universe and now and then the multi-verse. Given the threats they face are often much broader than a metro area I find this fixation annoying. DC tends to have this fixation of focusing their heros in a single metro area rather than as a hero for the world or a country. The superheros tend to be way more broodie (Batman epitomizes this). The DC universe isn't nearly as good as the MCU. However, there is much I have to criticize about the series.

As with most series I get wrapped up in the characters and their story arcs. So, I guess that means I found it entertaining enough. For quite some time (7 long seasons worth) I've watched this.
